The Feldbach Voluntary Fire Brigade recently took delivery of their new TLF-A 4000/200 CFAS made by Empl. The vehicle was immediately presented at a specialised fire brigade fair.

At the end of April, the members of the Feldbach Voluntary Fire Brigade proudly presented their new vehicle to interested visitors at the specialised "Fire Brigade Objective" fair in Klosterneuburg. The tank fire-fighting vehicle is based on a MAN TGM 18.340 4x4 BB chassis. It can carry 4000 litres of water and 200 litres of foam as fire-extinguishing agents.

The proven Empl MOD-TECH method makes use of a modular structure and provides torsional flexibility and thus optimal use of the chassis during operation. The Empl MOD-Tech cabin module was designed for a crew of 1+8. The superstructure is implemented as a Fire-Fighter ALU-Tech System with 7 equipment compartments. The pneumatically extendible light mast has 4 x 1 000 W halogen floodlights. The vehicle has a maintenance-free, installed pump of the type TO 3000 FPN 10/3000-40/250 with high-pressure capability.

The new Empl H.I.T. CAN-Bus controller as well as the new Power CAFS 3000 CAFS compressed air foam system were installed in a vehicle for the first time.

CAN-Bus H.I.T.:

The H.I.T CAN-Bus controller, which is a completely new development by Empl, has been integrated at the pump operating panel and in the passenger cabin of the vehicle. The 7" LCD colour displays allow the machine operator and the driver to access all functions of the vehicle in a very user-friendly way and with maximum safety, reliability and speed.

Power CAFS MC 3000 NR Continuous Flow:

The vehicle also has a compressed-air foam system with a capacity of 3 000 l/min. The system works without loss of flow volume.

All vehicle illumination is LED-based. The crew cabin has combined crew cabin and non-glare LED lighting with a dimmer function. Additional equipment includes an overpressure fan, two electrical submersible pumps, a motor chain-saw with combi-canister, a hygiene board as well as holders for 4 hose-carrying baskets, distributors and safety trousers.
