At this year's Interschutz 2026 in Hanover (June 1-6), EMPL will once again showcase its innovative capabilities. On a stand area of over 500 m², the specialist for customized truck bodies will present an impressive selection of fire engines specifically tailored to a wide range of operational requirements.
When hundreds of thousands of fire service enthusiasts fill the exhibition halls in Hanover, visitors can expect a diverse selection of exciting and extraordinary exhibits at the EMPL stand C30 in hall 27.
Ro/Ro container decontamination– Knapsack Chemical Park Fire Brigade
The Ro/Ro container decontamination was specifically developed for the Knapsack Chemical Park's plant fire brigade to decontaminate emergency personnel more quickly, safely, and with less manpower. Unlike the previous solution, the system operates largely autonomously with integrated fresh water and wastewater tanks and can decontaminate up to ten people without additional vehicles.
The decontamination process is highly automated, takes only about 1.5–2 minutes per person, and requires approximately 40 liters of water. Thanks to sophisticated technology, monitoring systems, and a high degree of automation, the Ro/Ro container decontamination is ready for use in about five minutes and can be operated by just two people.
HLF-I – Airbus Manching Plant Fire Brigade
The HLF-I (fire engine) on a Scania P370 chassis was built for the Airbus plant fire brigade at the Manching site and, with its crew cab, offers space for a crew of 1+5. The vehicle has a 3,000-liter water tank and a 250-liter foam concentrate tank. The equipment compartment houses the FPN 10/3000 built-in pump with a CAFS foam proportioning system. A pneumatically operated, fold-down railing is installed on the accessible roof. Also located there are a roof box, a light mast, a 360° bird's-eye view camera system, and an electric ladder lowering device for the four-section extension ladder, including a holder for four suction hoses.
Furthermore, a frame-mounted winch with forward-extending cable pull and a nominal cable pulling force of 58 kN is installed, as well as two mounting brackets for single-person hose reels at the rear.
The extensive equipment and supplies include a generator, Hilti battery-powered tools (impact drill, saw, screwdriver, circular saw, angle grinder, jigsaw, etc.), lifting cushion set, submersible pump, hydraulic rescue set, high-performance fan, rescue platform, fog nail set and much more.
HLF 20 Primus – Volunteer Fire Department Hilpoltstein
The vehicle for the Hilpoltstein Volunteer Fire Department is built on a MAN TGM 16.320 4x4 chassis and designed for a crew of 1+8. The rescue pumper is equipped with a 3,000 l/min pump, Cameleon foam proportioning system, 2,000 l water tank, 120 l foam tank, four SCBA seats in the crew compartment and much more. At the rear, an EMPL H.I.T. pump control unit with a screen is installed, along with a single-person hose reel and a rear warning system.
The roof features a storage box, a sectional ladder, a three-section extension ladder, and the EMPL Function-Light light mast. A 360° bird's-eye view camera system is also installed. At the front of the vehicle is a Rotzler Treibmatic TR030 Fire with forward and rearward rope extension.
The extensive equipment includes a generator, hydraulic rescue set, floodlight carrying unit, small fire extinguishers, rescue platform, equipment for hazardous materials and fire operations, Paratech stabilization kit, rack and pinion winches and much more.
SRFA-K – Volunteer Fire Department Villach
The heavy rescue vehicle with crane (SRFA-K) of the Villach Volunteer Fire Department, built on a Volvo FMX 540 chassis, is a state-of-the-art specialist vehicle for technical assistance operations of any scale. A Palfinger PK 92002-SH high-performance loading crane is mounted at the rear, equipped with a 3.5-ton winch on the main boom – ideal for precise and powerful lifting and recovery operations.
The vehicle features hydraulic recovery supports at the rear as well as side-mounted recovery supports on the left and right between the first and second axles. A 20-ton Sepson hydraulic winch with extension is mounted at the rear. The vehicle also has two additional 7-ton Sepson winches for pulling via the recovery supports on the left and right sides.
ULF – Currenta Dormagen Plant Fire Brigade
The multi-purpose fire engine, built on a Scania P500 chassis, was constructed for the CURRENTA plant fire brigade at the CHEMPARK site in Dormagen and will be exhibited at the stand of the German Plant Fire Brigade Association. The vehicle's CrewCab provides space for a crew of 1+6 personnel and extensive equipment for firefighting and rescue operations. It features a 6,000-liter built-in pump, a 1,500-liter water tank, a 3,000-liter foam concentrate tank with an automatic proportioning system, and a 750 kg dry chemical extinguishing system.
In addition, numerous equipment compartments and a comprehensive load of hoses, fans, a generator, protective suits, and medical equipment ensure high operational flexibility. Modern technology such as a remote-controlled roof monitor, a powerful light mast, a 360° camera system, and pneumatic hose reels support rapid and safe fire suppression.
TMB –BASF Coatings Münster Plant Fire Brigade
The telescopic boom lift mounted on a Scania P420 chassis from BASF Coatings Münster will be on display at the S-Gard Safety Interschutz 2026 Special and is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the plant fire brigade. It features a 45-meter-long mast from Bronto Skylift with a rescue platform and integrated spray nozzles that protect occupants from heat, smoke, and pollutants, and can also be used to suppress toxic gases.
The vehicle offers comprehensive firefighting equipment with multiple water outlets and powerful monitors, as well as numerous equipment compartments for a wide range of operations. The equipment is complemented by extensive gear for rescue, high-angle, and technical operations, along with modern systems such as a 360° camera system.
