The EMPL Technologie Schmiede in Uderns is continuing its growth course: the preservation hall at the location was expanded with an investment of 2 million euros. A state-of-the-art extraction system ensures an improved working environment and contributes to increased efficiency, significantly reducing turnaround time.
In addition to expanding the preservation hall, the outdoor area was drained and asphalted, which further improved the infrastructure and logistics on site. The planning and implementation of the project was carried out by the renowned architectural office of Arch. DI Johann Sailer from Vomp.
The construction work on the shell, which started in November 2023, was completed in April 2024 by the company Ing. Hans Lang. A total of 650 cubic meters of concrete and 66 tons of reinforcing steel were used. With this investment, EMPL is also creating new jobs at the Uderns location: seven additional employees strengthen the team. The new hall has been in full operation since September 2024.
“The expansion of the preservation hall is an important milestone for our company,” explains the management of EMPL. "This allows us to increase productivity and offer our customers high-quality solutions even faster and more reliably. In addition, the investment was justified by the long-term high order backlog and was necessary in order to be able to meet the planned delivery dates."
With this expansion, EMPL is reaffirming its commitment to job security and growth in the Zillertal region.
