EMPL presents interesting emergency vehicles at Retter 2018!

Austria’s largest trade fair for safety and emergency organisations takes place from 20 to 22 September 2018. EMPL is once again represented with several vehicles in the newly built exhibition building.

Over 170 exhibitors present new products from the areas of fire services, fire & disaster control, rescue, emergency & ambulance equipment, medical technology, safety technology as well as health and safety. A top-of-the-line supporting programme and numerous specialist talks complete the event. EMPL is presenting 4 unique special solutions on an exhibition area of over 200 m².

LFB-A VOMP VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE
The fire fighting body is an MAN TGM 15.290 4x4 BL chassis in a EURO 6 version. The driver and crew compartments are designed for a crew of 1+8, with 3 CABA seats against the direction of travel.The “Fire Fighter ALU-TECH” body has an aluminium sandwich panel design. The body features three equipment compartments each on the left and right side with interior LED lighting. At the rear, the vehicle is equipped with a tail lift with a capacity of 1,500 kg. 4 roll-on containers can be stowed crosswise there. The delivery includes the roll-on containers for suction point, electricity, water, sand bags, disaster control, breathing protection and water extraction. A rear warning system with up to 200 freely programmable messages is installed above the tail lift.

HLF 3 LASSEE
The technical support fire engine HLF 3 of the town of Lassee is set on an MAN TGM 15.290 4x4 BL chassis in Primus design, just like the LFB-A of the Vomp Volunteer Fire Brigade. The optimised superstructure concept guarantees maximum operating convenience. This vehicle is also designed for a crew of 1+8 and equipped with 3 CABA seats.
A 3,000 l water tank, a 120 l foam tank as well as an EMPL integrated fire fighting pump with high-pressure device TO 3000 FPN 10/3000 – 40/250 are installed in the rear. This can be operated with the EMPL H.I.T. CAN bus control on the display at the pump operating station as well as from the driver’s cab.
Fast attacks are is conducted from a 60 m high-pressure fast attack reel at the rear. The EMPL Function Light mast offers spot and area lighting for optimum service conditions on site.

HLF 4 FURTH VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE
The impressive technical support fire engine HLF 4 of the Furth Volunteer Fire Brigade is set on a Scania CP 400 6x4*4 HHA chassis and designed for a crew of 1+5.
It is equipped with an 8,000 l water tank and a 200 l foam tank with optical tank level indicator. An FPN 10/3000 fire extinguishing low-pressure pump with individual flow diagram is installed in the rear, as well as a valve terminal for controlling all pneumatic valves for emergency operation. The 60 m fast attack above the pump operating station is equipped with electric hose reel winding. A 30 m foam fast attack is stored in an aluminium compartment at the pressure outlet in loops.
A pneumatically lowering street washing bar with several pressure nozzles is mounted below the bumper. Furthermore, the vehicle features a frame installation winch with 7 to of constant capacity and 45 m usable cable length. A roof box with gas pressure damper and a 4-part scaling ladder are installed on the sanded walk-on roof.

SRF BF SALZBURG

EMPL delivered a heavy-duty rescue vehicle with rear crane on a Mercedes-Benz Arocs 2546 L 6x2 chassis to the Salzburg professional fire service.
The left and right side of the body feature the equipment compartments, each with 2 solid, powder-coated, quiet-running EMPL dustproof and waterproof aluminium roll-up doors. All roll-up doors are equipped with bar locks with integrated hand protection and self-tightening closing straps. The LED light strips of the interior lighting in the compartments are operated with contactless switches.
An illuminated roof box and a scaling ladder are located on the roof. Furthermore, the vehicle features a frame installation winch with 9 t of constant capacity and 45 m usable cable length. A 20 kVA power generator is permanently installed for the hydraulic rescue device.
The rear crane with continuous slewing unit has a 41 t lifting capacity and a hydraulic 8-fold extension. A cable winch with 2,500 kg capacity and 65 m length is mounted on the knuckle boom, whereby a support width of 7.4 m ensures optimum stability. A rear warning system with up to 200 freely programmable messages as well as an integrated traffic management system is mounted on the crane. The crane accessories are stored in the vehicle body and a separate trailer with 1,300 kg payload for work basket, gripper, etc.

In addition to numerous vehicles for volunteer fire brigades, EMPL has in recent years also achieved a good reputation in the field of industrial fire fighting vehicles and is often a preferred partner and supplier for these.
