The RETTmobil trade fair was once again a real visitor magnet. The mixed weather did not dampen the hustle and bustle and so countless inquisitive visitors and interested trade visitors were welcomed to the EMPL stand. A wonderfully successful event with the best opportunity for mutual exchange.
At the EMPL outdoor stand, trade fair visitors were presented with the HLF 20 PRIMUS of the Krün Volunteer Fire Department and the current model vehicle of the SW-KatS (hose truck disaster protection) of the Federal Ministry for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance, which is currently being tested in the BBK equipment warehouse in Bonn-Dransdorf.
HLF 20 PRIMUS - Krün Volunteer Fire Department
The HLF 20 PRIMUS of the Krün Volunteer Fire Department is built on a MAN TGM 16.290 4x4 chassis and is designed for a crew of 1+8. The rescue and firefighting vehicle has a 3,000 pump, 2,000 l of water, 120 l of foam, a quick-attack reel (water & electricity), 4 BA seats in the crew compartment, and much more. An EMPL H.I.T. pump control unit with screen and the Cameleon foam mixing system are installed in the rear.
On the roof there is a 2,000 mm roof turret, roof box including load, extension ladder, 3-part extension ladder, 360° BirdView camera and the pneumatic EMPL Function-Light light mast.
The extensive load includes a power generator, hydraulic rescue kit - battery, overpressure ventilation device, small fire extinguishers, submersible pump, rescue platform, jumping cushion, water-carrying fittings, foam pipe, hose carrying baskets, pressure hoses, and much more.
SW-KatS - BBK
The second vehicle that was presented is the model vehicle of the SW-KatS series of the BBK. The structure was built on an Iveco Eurocargo ML150E28WS chassis for a crew of 1+2. The structure is divided into equipment compartments (G1 - G2) and a loading area with a tarpaulin roof and sliding cover for loading and unloading and space for up to 6 roll containers. The vehicle also has a tail lift that is divided horizontally in the middle at the rear.
The hose truck, which is equipped with all-wheel drive and has a water flow capacity of 600 mm, is mainly used to supply water over long distances. A total of 2,000 meters of B hose are carried in removable hose cassettes. Airline rails have been integrated into the floor, side walls and front wall for safe transport and load securing. Without the hose cassettes, the hose truck can be used as a logistics vehicle with a payload of 4,000 kg. A portable pump in G1 is also loaded on a pull-out. To ensure continuous pumping operation, there is also a folding container with a capacity of 5,000 liters of water on the vehicle.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers, the Krün Volunteer Fire Department and the Federal Ministry of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance, for providing the vehicles and the numerous trade fair visitors for the pleasant, constructive discussions.
