EH/W 200 BISON – Safar
The company “Auto-Service Safar GmbH” is not only the largest of its kind in the Rhine-Main area – it is also very versatile. More than fifty employees, who have professional training and years of experience and who are also constantly trained by the ADAC, come out more than 50,000 times a year. They receive support from the more than 20 administrative employees, who are now spread across four locations. This makes the company one of the 10 largest ADAC mobility partners in Germany.
A Mercedes Benz Arocs 4551 8x4 serves as the chassis for the new recovery vehicle. A 20 ton winch and a 10 ton winch are mounted on the main boom. The entire operation takes place via a radio remote control. Another 10 t winch is installed on the subframe, with lateral extension in the direction of travel on the right and hydraulic support.
The tailor-made storage boxes, which accommodate all towing utensils (axle forks, chains, round slings, shackles, pulley set, towing goggles, tow bar, etc.) and other accessories (tool cabinet, running lights, auxiliary equipment package, water tank for washing hands, etc.), are made entirely of stainless steel and have a black powder-coated railing with integrated LED lighting. There are additional storage trays between the storage boxes and the main boom. The vehicle also has extendable running boards on the left and right of the body as well as an extendable light pole.
Ballast weights under and behind the cab shift the weight to the front axles during recovery. Other safety equipment includes a lamp bracket on the driver's cab, flyer, a comprehensive lighting package (marker lights, position lights, work lights, flashing lights, etc.) and a reversing video system.
EMPL would like to take this opportunity to thank, firstly, our customer „Auto-Service Safar GmbH“ for providing the vehicle and for its loyalty and, secondly, the many visitors to the trade fair for the pleasant and constructive discussions.
