EMPL presents LF 20 KatS at FLORIAN 2025!

The FLORIAN trade fair will take place in Dresden from October 9-11, 2025. EMPL will be presenting an LF 20 KatS at its own booth in the open-air area Nr. 4 (Stand F 45).

FLORIAN showcases the latest technologies and concepts for decision-makers in fire services, rescue services, and disaster control, offering the best opportunity to meet and learn. At the 24th FLORIAN, around 400 exhibitors from 16 countries will showcase their innovations, more than ever before. At the EMPL booth, an LF 20 KatS from the Langendorf local fire department of the Weißenfels fire department will be on display.

The firefighting vehicle, with a crew of 1 + 8 on a MAN TGM 13.320 4x4, is part of a state procurement by Saxony-Anhalt and comprises a total of 12 vehicles: 8 LF 20 and 4 LF 20 KatS. The LF 20 KatS with sling chains features an FPN 10-2000 rear-mounted pump designed for pump-and-roll operation, a 2,300-liter water tank with integrated tank heating, a standardized pump control unit, 4 manually lockable B pressure outlets (2 of which can also be remotely controlled), 1 lockable C pressure outlet, an overpressure protection device, and 4 emergency rescue seats in the crew compartment. In addition, a PFPN 10-2000 portable pump, a surface spray boom, protective sheathing for thermally vulnerable components of the chassis and a self-protection system to protect the front and rear axles, the spring brake and other vulnerable components are installed. 

The accessible roof is equipped with a roof box including a load, a 4-section extension ladder, a 3-section extension ladder, and a pneumatically extendable light mast with an output of 30,000 lumens. The extensive equipment includes four reserve cylinders for breathing apparatus, small fire extinguishers (ABC, CO² extinguishers, metal powder, and bucket sprayer), a proportioner and foam pipe, a 20-liter foam container, pressure hoses, a hydroshield, water-carrying fittings, hand tools, a chainsaw, a submersible pump, a portable water cannon with a floor stand, and much more.
