EMPL represented with 2 heavy duty recovery vehicles at the IFBA 2023 in Kassel!

12/05/2023

From June 15th to 17th, Kassel will once again become a Mecca for the recovery and towing industry. This year, EMPL will be represented at the IFBA with two heavy duty recovery vehicles. The Austrian body specialist is an all-rounder in the recovery and towing sector.

The renowned German towing company "Josef Eichenseher GmbH" from Munich and the master automotive workshop and towing service "Wüst GmbH & Co. KG" from Klingenberg-Röllfeld, like many others, trust in EMPL's towing technology.

EH/W 200 BISON – EICHENSEHER
The Munich-based company “Josef Eichenseher GmbH” is a broadly positioned company which, in addition to towing and recovery services, also offers vehicle transport / transfers at home and abroad, crane work, pick-up service, car rental and much more. Due to the positive experiences, this is already the 3rd EMPL Bison in Werner Eichenseher’s fleet since 2016. A Volvo FH 16 750 8x4 serves as the chassis for the new recovery vehicle. The vehicle is equipped with a 20 ton main winch and a further 10 ton winch on the main boom. An additional 10 ton winch is installed on the subframe, with lateral extension on the right in the direction of travel and hydraulic support. The entire system is operated via a radio remote control and a digital display.

The tailor-made storage boxes, which accommodate all towing equipment (axle forks, towing bolts, ground-level pull, towing glasses, belt set, etc.) as well as a tool cabinet, are made entirely of stainless steel and have a railing with integrated LED lighting.

Ballast weights under and behind the driver's cab ensure that the front axle is fully loaded and shift the weight to the front axles during towing. The vehicle also has an Operator Safety System (OSS) with a visual display of driving safety at the operator's station. This system continuously monitors rear axle overload or front axle relief, taking technical and legal conditions into account. 3 rear-view cameras on the main arm, articulated arm and support foot ensure sufficient overview.

EH/W 200 BISON – WÜST
The family business "Wüst GmbH & Co. KG" with the father-son team Jürgen Wüst and Pascal Wüst is well positioned with its own workshop, vehicle transfers and towing service in Bavaria on the border with Hesse. The new vehicle was implemented and sold by EMPL together with the partner company Dietrich GmbH.

The basis is a Volvo FH 500 8X4. A 20 ton winch and a 15 ton winch are mounted on the main boom, which impresses with the integrated double telescopic recovery boom with a total length of 6 m. The entire operation is carried out via a radio remote control in proportional design.

The storage boxes made of stainless steel have double keyhole rails for adjustable storage compartments and storage compartments that can be swiveled out 180°. There are additional storage trays between the storage boxes and the main boom.

The towing accessories are KTL coated. The articulating cylinder and the lifting cylinders are chrome-nickel-plated to protect against corrosion and stone chips. The safety equipment includes ballast weights under and behind the driver's cab, flyers, pneumatically extendable and rotating and swiveling light mast, a comprehensive lighting package (side lights, position lights, work lights, flashing lights, etc.), LED railing and a reversing video system.

We look forward to your visit in Hall 1/2 Stand A 18
