From June 11th to 13th, 2026, Kassel will once again become the international meeting place for the recovery and towing industry. EMPL will again be presenting its high-performance towing vehicles at IFBA this year, underscoring its expertise as a versatile body specialist in the professional recovery and towing segment.
Numerous renowned companies already rely on EMPL's proven towing technology. These include, among others, the "Bergungsdienst Brameier Schopsdorf GmbH" and the "Aschenbrenner GmbH" from Kassel, both of which are presenting their latest vehicles at the trade fair.
EH/W 200 BISON – BRAMEIER
Brameier Schopsdorf GmbH, based in Schopsdorf, is a diversified company offering towing and recovery services, as well as breakdown assistance, vehicle recycling and other services within a corporate group. Based on years of positive experience, owner Paul Brameier has once again opted for EMPL technology – the BISON presented here is already the third vehicle of this series in the company's fleet.
The vehicle is based on a Scania S 770 8x4, equipped with a 30-ton main winch and an additional 15-ton winch on the main boom, which features an integrated telescopic recovery arm. A 10-ton winch with lateral extension on the right side (in the direction of travel) and hydraulic support is also mounted on the subframe. Operation is conveniently controlled via a proportional radio remote control and a 12-inch display at the operator's station. A particular technical highlight is the hydraulically extendable recovery supports on both sides, which extend 400 mm each and provide additional stability during recovery operations.
The custom-made stainless steel storage compartments house all recovery and towing equipment, as well as a 40-liter water tank. A black anodized railing with integrated LED lighting ensures optimal visibility and safety. Additional storage trays between the compartments and the main boom enhance practicality in daily use. Ballast weights under and behind the cab ensure optimal front axle load distribution and improve towing performance. The comprehensive safety features include a flyer, a complete LED lighting package with perimeter lighting, position lights, work lights, and flashing beacons, an extendable LED light mast, a reversing camera system and cameras on the outriggers.
EH/W 200 BISON – ASCHENBRENNER
The team at Aschenbrenner GmbH in Kassel also relies on the proven technology of EMPL. The company, led by Klaus Pötter, currently employs around 110 people and operates a fleet of 59 towing, breakdown, and mobility vehicles. The new service vehicle was developed and distributed in cooperation with EMPL's partner company, Dietrich GmbH.
The chassis is a Mercedes-Benz Arocs 4163 8x4 Big Space. Two 20-ton winches are installed on the main boom. The main boom itself features a double telescopic recovery arm with a reach of up to 6 meters. An additional 10-ton winch with hydraulic support is located on the passenger side. On this vehicle, the recovery supports can also be hydraulically extended by 400 mm on both sides, ensuring additional stability during operations. Control is also via a proportional radio remote control.
The stainless steel storage compartments are highly functional and feature double keyhole rails for flexibly adjustable storage compartments, 180° swiveling storage compartments, a swiveling wall, a pull-out for the side-mounted towing bracket, a toolbox and extendable running boards. Additional storage trays are located between the storage compartments and the main boom. Storage compartments G3 and G4 are equipped with roller blinds, with G4 also being divided. Safety and comfort features include ballast weights, a flyer, a comprehensive lighting package with rotating beacons, position lights, work lights and flashing lights, a black anodized LED railing, a reversing camera system, cameras on the outriggers and a pneumatically extendable light mast.
Experience both vehicles live at IFBA 2026 in Kassel.
We look forward to your visit in Hall 1/2, Booth A16.
