The RETTmobil trade fair is always a real visitor magnet. EMPL, along with almost 500 other exhibitors, welcomed the curious trade fair visitors at its booth F86.
The RETTmobil in Fulda was once again a lively event for trade visitors and interested visitors. In the outdoor area at EMPL, visitors could inspect the MLF (multi-purpose fire engine) of the Bülzig local fire department and the HLF 10 (high-altitude fire engine) of the Prießnitz local fire department.
MLF - Zahna-Elster OFW Bülzig
The MLF of the Bülzig local fire department, a district of Zahna-Elster, is mounted on a MAN TGM 13.250 4x4. The medium-sized fire engine with a crew cabin for a crew of 1 + 5 (2 emergency rescue seats) features a 1,200 l water tank with integrated tank heating and a rear-mounted FPN 10-2000 pump, which is designed for pump-and-roll operation and controlled via the pump control panel at the rear. The vehicle also features a removable TS 10/1000 portable pump.
On the left and right sides of the superstructure are two equipment compartments each, equipped with underfloor hatches and, when folded down, capable of supporting a load of at least 270 kg as freestanding bridges. At the rear, there is a ladder leading to the accessible roof, a one-person hose reel, a pneumatically extendable light mast with an output of 15,000 lumens, and a rear warning device. Two C 42 pressure hoses with hollow nozzles are available for rapid intervention.
The equipment includes a four-section extension ladder, two additional self-contained breathing apparatus, small fire extinguishers (NBC, CO² extinguishers, and bucket pump), a proportioner and foam nozzle, a 20-liter foam container, pressure hoses, hose baskets, hand tools, a chainsaw, a stretcher, and much more.
HLF 10 – Naumburg OFW Prießnitz
The second vehicle is an HLF 10 from the Prießnitz local fire department. The vehicle is part of a series of 19 HLF 10s and 15 LF 10s for Saxony-Anhalt, which differ only in the G1 load capacity, namely hydraulic rescue equipment or portable pumps. Additional loading options can be towed by the various fire departments in addition to the standard load. The rescue and firefighting group vehicle, with a crew of 1 + 8, is built on a MAN TGM 15.290 4x4 chassis. The HLF 10 features an FPN 10-2000 rear-mounted pump designed for pump-and-roll operation, a 1,600-liter water tank with integrated tank heating, a standardized pump control unit, four manually lockable B pressure outlets and one lockable C pressure outlet, and four emergency rescue seats in the crew compartment.
The accessible roof features a roof box with its own cargo, a four-section extension ladder, and a pneumatically extendable light mast with an output of 30,000 lumens. The extensive equipment includes four reserve cylinders for breathing apparatus, a proportioner and combination foam pipe, six 20-liter foam containers, small fire extinguishers (ABC, CO², metal powder, and bucket sprayer), hoses, a hydraulic rescue kit, an electric pump, a fan, water-carrying fittings, hand tools, a lighting unit, and much more.
