Test phase for mobile inspection units for ADAC completed!

During the summer of 2015, EMPL provided ADAC in Germany with two ultramodern, mobile test containers. Following a successful 6-month test phase, both vehicles are now being used in Cologne and Munich.

The latest test, diagnostic and fault code reader has been integrated into an extending test track, turning the vehicles into high - tech centres. The test track provides a detailed overview of the motor management and complete vehicle electronics.

The ADAC test containers are 11 metres long and weigh 25 tonnes, including the lorry. The inherent weight of the fully equipped test containers is 15.5 tonnes. The ADAC test containers have a similar construction to the models already delivered to Austria and Switzerland. The mobile test station is hydraulically lifted off the vehicle within a very short time and the test track extended. A built - in power generator means that the complete test container can be either supplied with power or independently operated.

The test containers have a vibrator plate, lifting platform, all - wheel brake test bench and a spotlight adjustment device of the latest generation, which can be used to check LED and Xenon spotlights. This modern accessories package also includes an air - conditioning test device, suspension tester, track plate, axle play detector, exhaust gas analysis device, electronic testers for fuel and diesel motors and additional control systems for passenger vehicle technology. A special sandwich panel guarantees the best insulation values, high strength and a low inherent weight. The roof panel is heated, thus preventing any icing up. In addition, the test container has been equipped with an electrically controlled air - conditioning unit and a heating system to ensure problem-free operation all year round. The test containers are equipped with a burglary and theft alarm system.
