EMPL presented two heavy-duty recovery vehicles from leading specialists in the rescue and recovery industry at the IFBA (international trade fair for rescue & recovery) in Kassel / Germany from 2 - 4 June.
Clever, customised systems, well though-out concepts and permanent product optimisation have ensured the market leadership for EMPL in the field of heavy recovery vehicles for many years. The new vehicles from the Eichenseher company and the recover company Völkl were presented at this year's IFBA.
EH/W BISON 200 FOR EICHENSEHER
The company was founded in 1961 and already has two heavy-duty recovery vehicles from EMPL. A DAF XF 510 FAD chassis serves as the basis for the new heavy-duty recovery vehicle. It is equipped with a 20t and a 10t winch on the main arm. The storage compartments are made of stainless steel with keyhole bars for adjustable storage bays including suspended aluminium trays. The pivoting panels are equipped with two - sided mounts for equipment such as chains. The wheel lift can be attached at the side. The mount for the cardan shaft is mounted on the support foot. The lifting cylinder and the knuckle boom cylinder are made of a special corrosion-resistant chromium plating. 1,800kg of ballast weights are loaded on the driver's cab. The vehicle is equipped with a power generator, a flyer, several cameras as well as additional work, safety and position lights with LED - technology.
EH/W BISON 200 FOR VÖLKL RECOVERY SERVICES
The company Völkl from Straubing has been a satisfied customer of EMPL for many years. The Völkl rescue body presented at the IFBA is built on a Mercedes - Benz 4163 AK 8x8/4 BG 16 chassis. Two hydraulic winches with flexible cable and a capacity of 30t and 15t are installed on the lifting arm. Additionally, this vehicle is equipped with a 6t front winch with 40m steel winch and another 10t frame winch with 60m steel cable and pull to the right including a hydraulic side support.
The knuckle boom cylinder and the lifting cylinder are finished with a chromium - nickel coating for corrosion and stone impact protection. This vehicle is also equipped with a total of 3,200kg ballast weights underneath and behind the driver's cab. The main and knuckle boom as well as the extension and the winches can be operated via a radio remote control. All towing utensils (lifting forks, bolts, towing bar, etc.) are part of the standard equipment. The storage compartments are made of stainless steel on this vehicle as well. Additional work lights are mounted on the flyer and on the rear of the vehicle. The rear also features a reversing camera.
Furthermore, the vehicle is equipped with a rescue equipment package including crowbar, heavy - duty hammer, bolt cutter, assembly roller, waste box, oil absorbent, etc. The entire EMPL team want to take this opportunity to thank all customers for their trust and the longstanding good cooperation!
