EMPL family day – a big thank you for employees and their families

After 2 challenging years with the coronavirus pandemic, EMPL organised a family day to say thank you to their employees and their families for the great work and strong team spirit they showed despite the unusual adversities and additional strains.

EMPL is one of the leading European manufacturers of customised special-purpose vehicle bodies on truck chassis, trailers and semi-trailers in the fields of commercial vehicles, fire fighting and defence & authorities. More than 400 employees work at the factories in Kaltenbach, Hall and Uderns every day to create truck bodies that are exactly tailored to the wishes and requirements of the market and the users.

Family day
EMPL invited employees and their families to the company premises in Kaltenbach on 10 September with the newly built Fire Fighting Forum – an exclusive VIP area for handing over new vehicles. It has quite a few surprising features and had been blessed by parish priest Erwin Gerst before the event.

The focus of this day was on having fun and being together.

Food and drink for the over 700 guests were provided by Flax Kaltenbach, Kochschlitten, Zillertaler Hausmannskost, Vroni`s, SchmiedIn, Happy Mio Espressomobil with a Photobox and the Vinci ice cream van. The Veit Club live band created a great atmosphere at the Fire Fighting Forum, while the cocktail bar with barkeeper Andreas Mayrhofer and the gourmet lounge were additional highlights. The appearance of the Red Eagle – Tyrolean Pipe Band was a special interlude that was met with great enthusiasm by the audience. In addition to factory tours with vehicle presentations, a varied programme for young guests (and the young at heart) included bouncy castles, rodeo rides, crate stacking, can throwing, stirrup pump spraying, airbrush tattoos, face painting, a reading corner, colouring books, memory games from the Zillertal Nachhilfe learning support group, as well as rides on a fire truck or the aerial ladder.

And as the saying goes: “After the party is before the party.” That is why a family day will be held at the EMPL Germany site in Zahna-Elster on 7 October. Around 200 employees work there – half-way between Leipzig and Berlin – to manufacture special-purpose truck bodies and trailers.
