The exhibits at this year's IFBA included two heavy-duty recovery vehicles from the renowned German companies “Abschleppdienst Kelpin” from Berg and “Abschlepp-, Pannen- und Bergungsdienst Broberg” from Seesen, who – like many others – rely on towing systems from EMPL.
EMPL wants to use this opportunity to thank its customers for providing the vehicles and for their loyalty, and to thank the many visitors at the exhibition for the pleasant and constructive discussions.
EH/W 200 BISON – KELPIN
An MAN TGS 35.510 8x4 is used as the chassis for the new rescue vehicle. A 24 t winch and a 15 t winch are mounted on the main boom with an integrated dual telescopic recovery boom with an overall length of 6 m. All functions are controlled with a radio remote control.
The customised storage boxes that accommodate all towing items (axle forks, towing bolts, low-mounted traction unit, towing frame, strap set, etc.) are made completely from stainless steel and are equipped with a handrail with integrated LED lighting.
The towing accessories have a CTC coating. The knuckle boom cylinder and the lifting cylinder are finished with a chromium-nickel coating for protection against corrosion and stone impact. Ballast weights mounted behind and underneath the cab transfer the weight to the front axles during the towing process.
