Following the slogan “Your vision – our challenge!”, EMPL presented itself as a manufacturer of special-purpose vehicles and a professional partner for special transport solutions. The vehicles on show have been tailored to meet the requirements and wishes of the respective operators and provide a good overview of the comprehensive commercial vehicle range from EMPL, an Austrian company with a longstanding tradition.

DUMP TRUCK
Dödlinger Erdbau GmbH from Fieberbrunn in Germany – a loyal and longstanding customer of EMPL – has around 30 employees and has been working in the field of earthmoving and transport for over 80 years. The EMPL dump truck presented at Bauma will be delivered to the customer after the trade fair. The dump truck body is set on a Mercedes Benz Arocs 41.46 K - EURO VI chassis.

The skip has a reinforced, hydraulically folding left side wall (in the direction of travel) with a continuous side wall mounting without corner posts and is manufactured from extremely rigid and hard-wearing special steel with high tensile strength. The frame design with diagonal reinforcement bars gives the body special stability that has proven its worth for the transport of the heaviest stones for over 40 years. The divided rear panel features an aluminium pendulum wall in the upper section and a hydraulically folding wall in the lower section.

A ladder is mounted on both sides over the rear wheels. The front wall has a storage area with an attachment for an asphalt tarpaulin and integrated excavator protection. 4 pairs of lashing eyes and 3 pairs of lashing hooks are welded into the floor of the skip for optimal lashing. Additional lashing eyes in the front wall and several lashing rods in the side walls and tailgate complete the cargo securing options. A tool box on the right-hand side (in the direction of travel), a shovel and broom with a mount on the front wall, snow chain hooks on the right and left as well as a camera on the boom complete the vehicle. All operating functions (tipping, side walls, tailgate) are controlled from the driver's cab.

OVERHEAD MAINTENANCE VEHICLE WITH HYDRAULIC LIFT TABLE
The overhead maintenance vehicle with a workshop body for Innsbrucker Verkehrsbetriebe is another interesting vehicle equipped with a hydraulic lift table that can be used for work at a height of up to 8 metres. A support is not needed for wind speeds up to 80 km/h. A 2-axle MAN TGM 15.290 4x2 BB serves as the chassis. The support frame has a galvanised finish.

Access to the workshop body is gained through a rear door. The double, asymmetrical rear door enables half of the door to be opened during loading operations. A hydraulic swivel loading crane with a capacity of 525 kg is mounted in the rear of the box body. A power generator is installed as a removable unit. An air compressor for the lift table that is supplied by the generator is mounted under the box body.

A work bench with a solid work surface and mesh rear panel, drawer cabinets and open and closed shelf units is installed in the body. LED lighting provides adequate illumination for the entire box body. 4 people can also travel in the designated seating areas within the body and can communicate with the driver via an intercom. An air conditioning system ensures a pleasant indoor climate.

The floor is coated with a non-slip PVC covering. Aluminium tool boxes with covers are mounted on the sides of the body. Several windows, some of which are sliding windows, are installed in the side walls of the body, on the front wall and in the rear door. The fitted LED ambient lighting can be switched on from the driver's cab or at the rear.

The folding guard rail of the lift table on the roof is a wooden structure. The LED lighting is milled into the underside. The floor of the continuously rotating working platform is covered with a highly insulating, non-slip and acid-resistant covering. It is controlled by radio remote control and a pendant controller. The roof can be accessed via a free-hanging, folding ladder. The ladder is insulated and made from glass fibre reinforced plastic. A 2-part sliding ladder with a mechanical lowering device is mounted on the right-hand side of the roof (in the direction of travel).

The entire EMPL team would like to take this opportunity to thank all customers for their trust and the longstanding good cooperation!
